Wild Rose School Board approves co-op sports

The Wild Rose School Board approved co-op sports with Wautoma High School during the Aug. 24 meeting. Boys’ soccer, cross-country, wrestling, girls’ soccer, and golf are the sports which have been getting co-oped with Wautoma with success, and the Wild Rose School Board had no problem in allowing them to continue. The board went on to approve revisions made to Board Policy Section 3: Student Personnel, I, 3.47 – Electronic Paging and Communication Devices Prohibited. The resignation of a sixth-grade teacher was accepted by the board. The board discussed handbooks for the Wild Rose Educational Association teachers and the Wild Rose Educational Support Personnel before approving them. The board accepted a gift of $1,000 from the Wild Rose Kiwanis to be used for equipment in the Family Consumer Science program. A leave of absence request from Chris Bahr was granted. A reminder went out to the board regarding the Oct. 11 WASB regional meeting to be held at Trappers Turn in Wisconsin Dells. Taylor Bavinck has been hired as a cook’s helper. The next board meetings will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 14 and 28. It was decided to hold a public open house at Wild Rose Elementary School from 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 to show what construction work has been completed done to the school buildings.   An Open House at the Middle/School will be scheduled at the end of next summer as construction and renovation projects are set to be completed before the 24-25 school year.
