On Feb. 20, the Hornets played their final home conference game of the season. We honored our five seniors as we took on the Berlin Indians. Berlin snapped the Hornet’s five game home winning streak by beating the Hornets 76-51. Wautoma hung close in the first half trailing 41-30 at halftime. In the second half, Berlin was too much for the Hornets to overcome.
Senior Skyler Royston led the scoring with 21 points and four rebounds. Junior Carson Rose added 12 points and three rebounds. Senior Elijah Graser collected seven rebounds and scored 4 points. Senior Charles Blader added two points and one steal. Senior Angel Salinas scored four points, one rebound, and one assist. Senior Chris Henderson had one assist.
Thank you to our seniors for their commitment and dedication to our program: Charles Blader, Chris Henderson, Skyler Royston, Elijah Graser, and Angel Salinas.
Wautoma’s loss drops their record now to 7-15 and now 4-9 in the South Central Conference.
