Driver arrested for 6th Offense OWI

On Oct. 18 at approximately 5:19 p.m. a Wautoma Officer observed a vehicle travel out of its lane of travel while making a turn. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver failed field sobriety tests. The driver did not have a valid license and did not have an interlock ignition device as required.
The driver was identified as 38 year old David Martinez of Wautoma. Charges were referred to the Waushara County District Attorney for Operating While Revoked,
Fail to Install IID, and Operating While Intoxicated - 6th offense. Martinez has five prior convictions for OWI. This is a Class G Felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
