Lona Sue (Stea) Atkinson passed away, with her husband Larry at her side, at 10:37 a.m. on Wednesday January 22, 2025, at her home in Altamont, IL.
Lona was born on July 27, 1952 in Wautoma, WI to Trygve and Betty (Sommers) Stea. She married Larry William Atkinson on January 20, 1973 in Wautoma, WI.
Survivors include husband Larry; daughter Angie (Jerry) Tkachuk; grandchildren Nicholas Tkachuk, Patrick (Claire) Tkachuk, and Lazuli Tkachuk; siblings Cheryl (Chris) Sorenson, Julie (Tony) Cook, Tom (Penny) Stea; sister-in-law Barb (Dean) Samuelson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lona was preceded in death by her first husband David Christie; her parents; infant brothers Duane and Roger, and infant sister Peggy.
