Mary E. Ebert, age 87, of Rome, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at The Waterford home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Mary was born on April 4, 1938, in Chicago, IL to James Wray and Mary (Thompson) Foster. While only part of her childhood was spent in Chicago, the other part was spent on the family farm when she moved to Hancock, WI in 1948. There she graduated from Tri County High School in 1955 and then married her former husband, Arvin Bohn, on September 1, 1957, at Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Hancock, WI. Mary later married Ron Ebert on September 20, 1997, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Mary loved attending Church, singing praises, and praying for those in need. She was an active member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, where she participated in the Women’s Circle, Children’s Sunday School, Bible Study groups, and helped serve church luncheons. After moving to the Town of Rome, WI, she frequently attended Lakes Area Christian Fellowship as well. Mary also had deep appreciation for nature, often referring to it as “God’s beautiful creations.” She loved spending time outdoors, tending to her flowers, and going for walks. Above all, she cherished time with her family and friends, especially the visits to her daughter’s family in Illinois.

Mary is survived by her son, Roger (Amy) Bohn, of Naples, FL; daughter, Donna (Kevin) Moma, of Rome, WI; three grandchildren, Christian Bohn, Jordan Bohn, and Allison Moma; four great grandchildren; sisters, Nina Kirschbaum, of Spartanburg, SC; Marilyn Blaszczyk, of Ocoee, FL; and Norah (Bill) Turk, of Chilton, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Wray, Mary Thompson and Norris Foster; husband, Ron Ebert; former husband, Arvin Bohn; brother, Bill Jackson; sister, Mildred Velek; and brother-in-law, William Kirschbaum.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service. The burial will be held at Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hancock, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary's name to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
