Over 500 people get hands-on at Kelly’s Sand and Gravel Dig Day
Kelly’s Sand and Gravel Dig Day on Oct. 3 was attended by over 500 people. The mine started in 1968 by Elwyn Kelly. The sand and gravel mine has been in continuous use since then. During the Dig Day, Adam Kelly, along with Kelly's Sand and Gravel employees, had hands-on activities in the mine that gave kids and their parents a chance to try equipment used to run the mine.
