Glenn Geib

October 28, 1943 - June 3, 2026

Posted

Born in Walters Bay, Michigan to Hellen and George Geib. Glenn was 1 of 7 children. The family worked the land and ran a Percheron and Morgan horse ranch, supplying the area timber industry. The family later moved to Milwaukee, Wi. where he met his first wife. Afterwards, Glenn moved to central Wi. and remarried his second wife.

He had 3 children, 3-stepchildren, 8-grandchildren, and 10-great grandchildren.

Glenn held various positions with Freightliner Corp. and was comfortable in any type of work environment; be it office or over the road troubleshooting and sales. No matter where his job took him, Glenn always found peace in the wilderness.

Glenn lived a hard life and worked even harder but once he retired, he moved to the small town of Wild Rose, WI, where he built his home, by hand, and lived on High St.

Glenn has made many friends over the years and volunteered for much of his time to that town and local food pantry. He was honored when, in 2017, he was voted as "Wild Rose's Man of the Year" and his generous act of kindness put the town, and the story, in the magazine The Reader's Digest.

The Family of Glenn would like to thank the hospice care nurses from Comapussus, Vanessa, whom he got to know and Cindy who sat with him through his last night at home. We greatly appreciate Pam Schneider, a true "living sacrifice", and friend in every sense. Her kindness, compassion and caring can never be measured or repaid, in this world!

There will be a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Wild Rose Community Center.
