Vicki Lynn Smet (née Hinderhofer), age 65, passed away on December 15, 2025, peacefully surrounded by family and friends. She was born on December 19, 1959.
Vicki had a warmth and joy that could fill any room. She loved her family and friends deeply, treasuring every shared laugh, every quiet moment, and every memory made together. With a touch of mischievousness, she could turn ordinary days into playful, unforgettable experiences, and she delighted in the simple pleasures of life: throwing a spirited theme-party, capturing moments through her camera, or losing herself in the careful, loving work of a small creative project.
After retiring, Vicki devoted her time to volunteering at the Waushara County Food Pantry, offering help, care, and kindness wherever it was needed. She spent her career with the Wautoma Area School District and Waushara County Human Services with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
Vicki will be remembered for her gift of gab, her infectious sense of fun, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her. Her laughter, creativity, and thoughtful presence left a lasting mark on all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on January 31, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Wautoma World War II Memorial Building, 440 W Main St, Wautoma, WI.
Her legacy of love, laughter, and a touch of playful mischief will live on in the hearts of all who had the joy of knowing her.
