Accidents reported in Waushara County

5/30/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 9:28 a.m. at the intersection on STH73 northbound at Dakota Rd/CTHC in the City of Wautoma. Richard Gruss, Rapid City, MI, failed to stop for a stop sign, hit a curb, left roadway, and struck a tree. Minor injuries, but transport by EMS refused.

 

5/31/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 12:15 a.m. on private property in the Town of Dakota. Deputy was notified State Trooper Nitka 415 was attempting to stop a blacked-out vehicle, and the driver had bailed from the vehicle. Upon deputy’s arrival, S415 was speaking with Thomas House, Hancock, who had been driving the vehicle. House failed to control his vehicle, hit a ditch, and then a tree. He admitted to not having insurance on the vehicle.

6/3/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 6:04 a.m. on private property in the Town of Dakota. Victor Lopez, Milwaukee, hit a deer in the roadway, causing him to lose control and enter the each ditch, going through bushes, and contact large rocks.

5/31/2026: At 5:21 p.m., James Wallace, Berlin, on CTHF, Eastbound, Town of Marion.

6/4/2026: At 2:35 p.m., Joanne Steffens, Neenah, on STH22, Northbound, Town of Wautoma.
