Accidents reported in Waushara County

8/16/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 11:48 a.m. on STH21 westbound in the Town of Aurora. Joshua Nigbor, Menasha, left the roadway, hit a sign, went airborne after going up an embankment and came to a rest in a farm field. Nigbor was suffering from a medical condition.

8/23/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 9:57 p.m. on Poplar St. in the Village of Plainfield. Chad Zuehlke, Coloma, was leaving the R-Bar parking lot. When entering Poplar St., Zuehlke failed to maintain control of the motorcycle and laid the cycle along its’ side. Zuehlke attempted to turn right onto Poplar St. Vehicle would have come to rest in the north ditch of Poplar St. Motorcycle was hidden in the tree line near the crash scene. Zuehlke sustained multiple injuries to his face while passenger sustained injuries to her shoulder and chest. Driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

8/25/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 8:18 a.m. on CTHE westbound in the Town of Warren. Lucas Nelsen, Jackson, lost control in the loose gravel from road resurfacing. Vehicle left roadway and struck a road sign.

8/25/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 10:35 p.m. on STH152 eastbound in the Town of Wautoma. Kaylee Laschiava, Redgranite, reached in the back of her vehicle, went left of center completely into the westbound shoulder, overcorrected, entered the ditch, and rolled over. Laschiava left the scene of the crash due to having a suspended drivers license and did not notify law enforcement.

8/28/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 10:48 p.m. the intersection of CTHX southbound at 36^th Ct. in the Town of Aurora. Keira Powell, Winneconne, swerved to miss a deer, exited the roadway into the ditch. Powell reported the vehicle became unresponsive and brakes failed. Vehicle went over a septic mound. Powell was able to regain control.

8/29/2026: A two-vehicle accident was reported at 7:33 p.m. on CTHV southbound in the Town of Coloma. Acxel Sanchez, Kronenwetter, and Adyson Tosh, Adams, were both operating on CTHV. Tosh slowed for a deer crossing the roadway. Sanchez was looking away from driving at mobile device map and did not see Tosh slowing for the deer. Sanchez struck Tosh in a front rear collision.

8/29/2026: A two-vehicle accident was reported at 6:03 p.m. on Cottonville Ave. in the Town of Dakota. Elizabeth Welty, Wautoma, was traveling eastbound and Jacqueline Schwochert, Berlin, westbound. Welty’s driver side collided with Schwochert’s driver side. Cottonville Ave has no marked center line. Welty stated she could not be sure she was not left of center. Schwochert stated she hit her horn and drove into the grass to avoid Welty. There were tire marks in the grass on the westbound side of the road, and vehicle debris on the westbound side of the road.

8/30/2026: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 3:59 p.m. on 4^th Ave in the Town of Coloma. Michele Fraser, Coloma, noticed smoke coming from engine compartment and drove across STH21 to dead end road on 4^th Ave and came to rest. Fraser was found to have fire in the engine compartment.
