The Almond-Bancroft Lady Eagles are determined to bring home the State Championship title, as they advance to the WIAA State Championship Finals on Saturday, June 13, fresh off their 11-6 semi-final victory over Blair-Taylor.
The eight hour weather delay only made the Lady Eagles more ready for action. They started off strong, with 3 runs in the first inning. Almond-Bancroft carried the lead throughout all seven innings, advancing them to the State Finals.
They will be back in action for a Division 5 rematch against Belmont in the fight to bring home the first-ever state win for the team. The first pitch will start at 8 a.m. at the Goodman Softball Complex in Madison.
