Two suspects in custody as result of skeletal remains investigation

A search warrant was executed at a residence in the Township of Leon as a result of an ongoing investigation into the skeletal remains that were previously identified as Tiffeny M. Schneider, 33 years old, that were located on March 13, in the Township of Leon, Waushara County.
As a result of that search warrant two individuals were taken into custody by the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office.
Those two individuals are identified as Jerry L. Wendler 12/09/1967 and Wade A. Mc Lees m/w 01/14/1977.
Jerry Wendler was charged with and arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of THC 2nd Offense, Receiving or Concealing Stolen Property, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Community Corrections.
Wade Mc Lees was charged and arrested with Possession of Methamphetamine, three counts of Felony Bail Jumping, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mc Lees has three open felony cases out of Adams and two open cases in Waushara County.

Jerry Wendler had a bail/bond hearing in Waushara County Circuit Court on 03/28/2025 where he was ordered to post a $2,000 cash bond.
Wade Mc Lees had a bail/bond hearing in Waushara County Circuit Court on 03/28/2025 where he was ordered to post a $1,000 cash bond.
All subjects charged in this investigation are innocent until proven guilty.
Because this investigation remains open and active, no interviews or additional details will be released at this time. If or when charged with a crime, additional details will be released in a criminal complaint filed with the courts.
