On Saturday, Oct. 18, the Waushara County Food Pantry welcomes the community to an Open House. The pantry, located at 220 N. Oakridge Ct. in Wautoma will be opening its doors to the public from 12-4 p.m.
In order to celebrate the completion of building renovations the Waushara County Food Pantry is hosting a community open house. This free to attend event will feature children’s activities, basket and 50/50 raffles, tours of the pantry, and a free nacho bar. Chelsee’s Mobile Cafe will be on site with drinks available for purchase.
“With all of the changes that have taken place in the pantry over this past year, we just want to welcome in our community and show them what we’ve been up to,” Executive Director Tyler Weston said of the event.
CAP Services began major renovations on the pantry building in the spring of 2024. The process reached a major milestone in September with the installation of a USDA funded freezer. While there is still some work to be done, Pantry staff, volunteers, and board members are excited to share their progress with the community that supports and relies on their services.
In partnership with our community, the Waushara County Food Pantry, Inc. exists to alleviate food insecurity by providing reliable access to nutritious food in a welcoming environment. As a community-based nonprofit, the pantry operates independently of county government. To learn more about ways to support the pantry, visit www.wausharafoodpantry.org or call 920-787-0641.
