News from the Waushara County Health Department
The Waushara County Health Department has announced that seasonal vaccinations, including Influenza and COVID-19 vaccines, are available for local residents.
Vaccination appointments are scheduled for Oct. 7, 21, and 28 with times of 9 – 11 a.m. and 1 – 3 p.m.
Individuals eligible to receive seasonal vaccinations at no out-of-pocket cost include:
• Individuals aged 65 and older on Medicare
• Individuals aged 65 and older with a Medicare Supplement
• Individuals enrolled in Medicaid (Forward Health)
• Individuals of any age with no health insurance
Note: Those on Medicaid, Medicare, or with a Medicare Supplement MUST bring their insurance cards to their appointment to receive the vaccination.
Individuals with a Commercial (Private) Health Insurance Policy (purchased on the Marketplace or provided by an employer) must pay out-of-pocket at the time of service. The Health Department is unable to bill Commercial (Private) Health Insurance.
